Martin Schlauri

Martin Schlauri joined Buhler in 1980 after graduating as a Milling Technologist SMS. After completing assignments in process development and plant commissioning, he was made responsible for the flour milling business in various countries. Back at the headquarters in Switzerland, Martin Schlauri took over the management of the Grain Milling Training Centre and later headed Buhler’s worldwide grain milling activities. From 2015 to 2020 Martin Schlauri was the Managing Director and teacher at the African Milling School in Nairobi, Kenya.
Since 2022, after retiring from Buhler company, Martin Schlauri has been working as a milling consultant and taking care of the Educational Mission of the IAOM MEA.

Wim Delameilleure

Wim Delameilleure has 20 years of experience in the global food industry and joined SCE 7 years ago as responsible for the Africa and Middle East region. He focuses mostly on exploring opportunities with major industry players and offering solutions to optimize their process buildings. Andrea Nicolini is currently the Sales Area Manager of CESCO EPC GmbH and he is taking care of the MEA and Latin America markets. He has gained professional experience in the milling industry and cereals storage plants dealing with large international projects in almost 4 years in CESCO and more than 10 years working as a Sales Manager for one of the most important manufacturers of milling equipment. He graduated in Political Science and International Law at Milan’s University.

Pietro Barbalarga

Pietro is the 3rd generation of an Italian family of millers. He got his diploma in milling in Torino at the Baking and Milling Institute “Arte Bianca”. He also has a degree in Electrotechnics from the Pordenone Institute Tecnico Industrial “J.F. Kennedy”. Began as a startup miller, and he moved then to the commercial department, during his career he was Sales Manager for North Europe, USA, South East Asia and Oceania region. In 2004, he joined Omas to take part in the “reinventing the mill” project.

David Nolte

David Nolte, an expert miller, completed his education at the German Milling School Braunschweig (DMSB) in 2007. In 2008, he began his career at Mühlenchemie, joining its R&D department and later becoming Head of Rheology. In 2021, David relocated to Kenya to lead Operations and R&D at Stern Ingredients East Africa. With extensive knowledge in milling, wheat and flour analysis, and flour treatment, he has been instrumental in helping customers maintain and enhance product quality.

Sylvain Provenzano

Sylvain Provenzano has served as the Area Sales Manager for Clextral over the past 19 years, covering Sub-Saharan Africa and Southern Europe. In this role, he has been responsible for driving business growth across the entire Clextral portfolio, which includes innovative food and feed solutions utilizing twin-screw extrusion technology, as well as specialized rolling technology for the production of couscous.
